Parent’s Choice Groupie

If you were to visit our home you would think I was a Parent’s Choice sales rep. or something?! We literally have 90% of their baby products on hand. I recently fell in love with the baby wash & lotion, smells delicious.  I use the formula, diapers, wipes (love), toddler snacks, uuummmmmm I know there is more! Lol

Now that there is ANOTHER new guy in the house, I would love to see Stage I/First food, I know they have great Stage II foods, etc. I am a fan of the quality first, then the price second.

I have to admit a family member introduced me to the formula about 3 years ago, her little girl drank it and she said “ It’s the same stuff as the fancy/expensive name brand stuff”

After consulting with our pediatrician, we’ve been hooked ever since.

BIG can means extra savings!

Store Brand Baby Formula Wins a Final Round in Court

Store brand infant formulas won a major victory this week when a U.S. Circuit Court upheld a $13.5 million false advertising claim against Enfamil maker Mead Johnson.

The case centered on the successful argument by PBM Products, Perrigo’s store brand infant formula business, that Enfamil’s  advertisements of superiority to store brand formulas were false and misleading because store brand formulas offer the same nutrients at the same levels as Enfamil.

“As the litigation history of the parties demonstrates, despite having twice been restrained from disseminating misleading advertising, Mead Johnson continued to do so,” Circuit Judge Andre Davis wrote. “PBM cannot fairly compete with Mead Johnson unless and until Mead Johnson stops infecting the marketplace with misleading advertising.”

“The Court has made it clear that national brand and store brand suppliers are entitled to fairly compete and advertising abuses will not be tolerated,” said Perrigo Chairman and CEO Joseph C. Papa in a statement. “We also appreciate the Court’s recognition that PBM could lawfully compare its products to national brand products.”

Mommy of 3………………………BOYS!

I am back on the blog, just catching my breath after welcoming the newest addition to our family. We decided to wait to find out the sex of the baby, after all:
IT DOESN’T REALLY Matter, right?!
Sure, apart of me was hoping for a little lady, I already have 2 boys (3 if you include the hubby) But when Javen made his arrival in early February, I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. He was a little guy, weighting a little over 6lbs, but he had the BIGGEST hazel eyes. I was instantly in love. Now that he has been here for a few weeks, we have settled in nicely. I have been able to dig into Jayce’s closet for things that Javen can use. It’s really nice; most of his newborn stuff is either brand new or really close to it.
Now that we are a family of 5, I am always looking for ways to save. We cut coupons, I visit the websites of the products we use for rewards points & lastly I decided to stick with the Parent’s Choice Infant formula.
We used this formula with Jayce, and we were very pleased with the health benefits that it provides and the savings. I still get a few blank stares from parents who feel the big name brand formulas are the best, but they have no idea that they are just as good if not better.
Our pediatrician gave us the thumbs up on the Parent’s Choice formula and we trust her and we are very comfortable with our decision.
Moral of the story: Don’t let the big names fool you!

Bright Beginnings Formula is now available online at Diapers.com! AND HERE ARE SOME DEALS!

My youngest is 16 months old. He recently stopped drinking formula. Having had three kids in fourteen months, I feel like I was buying formula forever, and I was spending a fortune on it for a while! I was so happy to have read a mommy blog about using store brand formula and how it was just as good as the brand name for much less… I changed my boys over to the Walmart brand of formula and we were all happy! The only thing is that I always had a hard time getting out to Walmart (there is no walmart within 20 miles of our house) to get formula so it would often become a weekend outing.

I recently learned that Bright Beginnings is being sold online at Diapers.com! Get Free 1-2 Day Shipping on Orders $49+!

Bright Beginnings is already priced lower than the brand name formulas. And here’s an even bigger deal: Save $6 on a 6 pack (23.4oz+) of Bright Beginnings Formula (Expires 1/30)

But guess what?  Diapers.com accepts manufacturers’ coupons and formula checks!  Just mail them in and get an account credit!  Head on over to babyformulaquiz.com to get your formula coupons!

As we move on from baby formula….

What a bittersweet time for us! Three of my four children were born within fourteen months of each other. The twins are now 27 months old and the baby is 13 months old. We recently went for Joseph’s one year old check up and got the ok to change over to whole milk. I nursed all my children for the first three months of their lives, then supplemented until they were on formula 100% of the time. And now, as my youngest is a year old, I must say goodbye to infant formula.

Ordinarily, I would be throwing a party right now, but as we are likely done having babies, it is certainly a bittersweet time for me. My babies are growing up! Plus, we weren’t breaking the bank on infant formula… I started using store brand formula when the twins were just a few months old (Parent’s Choice Gentle Formula, sold at Walmart) and saved a fortune. It helped us through a very rough time with one of our twins, who had a very sensitive stomach, and he did exceptionally well with the formula. They all loved it. As a matter of fact, Joseph did not give up his formula without a fight!

The first day I gave Joseph whole milk, he refused to drink it. He would put the bottle in his mouth, take a sip, and literally spit it out. I tried a few more bottles, then was about to give up, when my husband suggested we mix the milk with formula. I thought that would be gross, but the pediatrician confirmed we could give it a try. So we started with 3/4 formula and 1/4 milk and after a week of increasing the milk, Joseph finally drank a full bottle of whole milk.

I must say, I never skimp when it comes to my kids. I did a lot of research on infant formula and had to do what was best for my family AND my baby’s health. I learned that all infant formulas sold in the United States are subject to the same regulations governing manufacturing and ingredients per the Infant Formula Act. I have been one happy Mama that I have been able to save while giving my children infant formula that is healthy, nutritious, and that they enjoyed. Thank you, Parent’s Choice! NOW IF I COULD ONLY GET RID OF DIAPERS!!!!!
