Party Time!

My baby will be one in just under two weeks! I cannot believe it. We decided on a Baby Einstein birthday party and I’m so excited. I made my invitations from scratch and I’m very happy with the outcome. Sometimes, I am quite creative. It’s also going to be a celebration for my husband and I because we successfully parented for a year. We were so nervous about becoming parents because, as you all know, kids don’t come with instructions! After your stay at the hospital they hand you your baby and send you off on your merry way with this new life you now have to take care of and protect. Scary stuff! At the Humane Society, you have to give all sorts of contacts’ names and numbers just to adopt a pet, but with a baby, it’s a “congratulations” and “bye bye!”

I do have to say parenting has come quite natural for us. We’re a good team and just so happy. I also get weekly updates from BabyCenter so I have good ideas of what to do or expect next, so to speak. Whenever you have a question that would not necessarily be for a doctor, you can just look on the internet for help because there are millions of parents out there who have been there, done that, and are willing to share some great advice for all of us newbies. So congrats and cheers to all great parents because its not an easy job! What I have been searching like CRAZY for are creative food ideas for the party. I have a couple of 1 year olds in attendance and a few of 2 -3 year olds. Any cute and unique ways to do the food? I was thinking some fresh fruits cut out in fun shapes, but other than that I am stumped!
