Fathers Day
Well my plan to get Shaughn to say Mama as revenge for learning and repeating Dada on Mothers Day, has failed. Oh well
Mister baby and I set up the dining room table in cutesy decorations with Brent’s gifts and cards, and then ran off in search of his special Fathers Day breakfast. When I asked last week what my husband would like for his grand breakfast I expected to hear the works. Something that would keep me in the kitchen long enough until he woke up from a morning of sleeping in. However, he only requested a McGriddle from McDonalds…..really? I’m offering my slave duties to whip up anything he wants for breakfast and the man only wants that??

I thought about it, realizing that he had not had one of those breakfast sandwiches in probably over a year and that it could be a nice treat. And just as I was about to open my mouth in protest and talk him into wanting something more lavish, I had another thought. “Keep your mouth shut, Krystle. If that is what he truly wants, he will get that and it will save you time of hard work while taking care of Shaughn.” And so that’s exactly what I did, kept it shut. So I smiled and said “Alright, that sounds good.” However no breakfast in this household is complete without coffee, and since this was a special occasion, Shaughn & I went to Starbucks to get his favorite, a Venti White Chocolate Mocha. Of course, Mommy needed her caffeine as well, so I indulged into a coffee drink, myself.
I got this cute Daddy Remote which has a bottle opener on the bottom of it, a mini photobook from Walgreens (for just $6!) that held 24 photos which I put pictures only containing him and my son from birth to recent, and some typical guy stuff that he needed like body wash and deodorant. My grandmother sent him a $25 Starbucks gift card… could have used that this morning, haha! But all in all he seemed very pleased, which is what I was hoping. The day is still young, and Shaughn is napping away from such a tiring morning he had, running around with me and playing with a big bouncy blue ball I got at Walmart last night. He was loving his new toy, better than anything that made sounds. In a little bit, we’re going to head over to my parents house for daddy’s day with my dad and some pool time for Shaughn. Not a bad first Fathers day for Brent if I do say so myself. How did you spend it?

Hello! I bought my husband the daddy remote from walmart also, and we can not get it to work and was wondering if you had any luck.
Thanks

I am so sorry for just reading this comment now, Rosa! I actually have not tried it. The only purpose I know my husband will use it for, is the bottle opener!
