I recently conducted my own little informal diaper investigation.  There is an eight year difference between my boys. With my oldest son (8yr old) we were young and POOR!! We usually purchased the most affordable diaper we could, regardless of the brand. I had a lot of success with the Wal-Mart brand ‘White Cloud’.  Being it had been such a long time for us, our family blessed us with a really awesome baby shower. Jayce is going on 5 months and we still haven’t purchased any diapers because we got sooooo many at the baby shower.

We received every major brand, Huggies, Pampers & Luvs. To date we have been able to try them all. I must admit, I started out being very impressed with the Pampers Swaddlers when he was still wearing the newborn size. As Jayce grew and developed more and more fat rolls the Huggies became a better fit for him, with little to no leaking. I feel a little indifferent about the Luvs, they fit him all comfy and snug but, I have had a leak or two.

I really can’t complain much about any at this point because they have all been FREE!! When we run out of the ones from the baby shower, I will seriously consider the White Cloud brand again for the savings and if they don’t hold up I think the Huggies is the way to go. I do like that fact that all the major name brands have a rewards type program with savings coupons available.

I am a sucker for a coupon
